ABOUT ME
I am a Humanistic Psychotherapist, relationship Therapist and an Integrative Supervisor.
As a member of BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and Accredited Professional of NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapist society) , I am bound to and abide by their Ethical Framework for good practice. I hold a clean enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check and professional insurance.
As an Asian born in India, who has been living in the UK for more than two decades, I am able to understand issues of cultural differences, changes in settings, loss and many other aspects in relation to the above. I have experience of working with young people in a secondary school setting, as I have worked in high schools for 6 years.
I have been working as a Macmillan Counsellor in the NHS for almost a decade. In my role in NHS, I work closely with people impacted by cancer and in palliative care. Individaulas, Professionals and couples. I have private practice in High Wycombe.I teach Counselling at Diploma Level with Chrysalis. I facilitate support group for cancer patients.
I hold a Masters in Person Centred Counselling. As part of my commitment to expand my knowledge, I regularly attend workshops and other developmental opportunities.
